We respect the privacy of our customers. Here is what we do with the information you provide us when you order:

Registration
During registration a user is asked to give their contact information (such as name and email address). We use this information to contact you regarding your order. Users billing and shipping information is not requested during registration. Users may update their billing information through their account profile and billing information will automatically be saved to the profile upon checkout.

Orders
We request information on the order form when you are placing an order on our site. Here we ask for contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (credit card number and expiration date). The information is used for billing purposes and to fill customers' orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with you.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Life’s A Beach only uses a cookie to store your email address, so that we can auto-detect a returning user to the site. Cookies are not used to let users auto-login in any way. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the user would not have to log in with a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. If a user rejects the cookie, the only drawback to this is that the user will be limited in certain non-secure areas of our site.

Security
We guarantee shopping at Life’s A Beach is safe. We employ SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption to ensure the security of your information.

Shipping and Delivery
Most items ship out within three business days (we do not ship Saturdays or Sundays). See the chart below for shipping times. Lightweight (<4 lbs) items will automatically ship via US Priority Mail, all other "regular" shipments will go via Federal Express home delivery. Rush deliveries ship via Federal Express expedited delivery services and will be dependent on stock availability in some cases.

We'll email you a confirmation when each of your products ship and we'll include tracking information ( if available). Please be aware that your total freight charge will be included on the first shipment (if more than one is necessary). In that case, there will be no subsequent freight charges.

To check the status of your order click the "My Account" tab on the top of your screen. Once you're logged in, click on "Order Status." This will give you current information on all your online orders, both past and present. Click on the order number in question to view the details. Or call us at 530 258-2505 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time to check on your order.

Canadian orders add 15% of Merchandise Total for additional Shipping & Handling. European, Australian, and New Zealand orders add 25%.  California requires tax on the total for merchandise and freight charges.

For an additional $15 per address, we offer Federal Express 2-day service, which may ship the next business day, depending on what time of day your order is placed. For an additional $25 per address, we offer Federal Express overnight delivery. We cannot expedite deliveries outside of the continental US. Rush delivery is not available to APO/FPO addresses, P/O. boxes, US territories or Canada. As mentioned before, this service may not be available for all items.  Please call customer service if you have any additional questions.

Returns & Refunds
If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, let us know and we'll take care of you. If your merchandise is damaged or defective, we'll be glad to reimburse your shipping costs.

Just print your name, address, phone number, and order number (if you know it) on a piece of paper and include in the box.

Refunds generally appear on you credit card statement in one to two billing periods. Since all our online orders require credit cards as the method of payment, your refunds will take the form of a credit back to the same card used to make the original purchase.

How to Create an Account
You don't need to create an account to shop on the site. Users may checkout without registering. However, creating an account gives you the ability to track your orders, with secure access to your account information. Plus, it makes it easier for you the next time you shop with us. In addition, when we have special offers, you'll be the first to know.
Above all, it's simple - all we need is your name, your email address, and a password.

You don't have to log in to make a purchase on the site. However, if you're registered, we only require a user name and password to log into the site.

We'll email you a confirmation of your order, providing we have an accurate email address. This will include order number and total amount we'll charge. We'll send a subsequent email(s) when your products ship, including tracking information (if available).
